Health & me

Hi my fellow healthytarians (getting there I guess?) Thats what I like to myself when somebody asks me whether I'm a vegetarian or a non-vegetarian! I have always been really conscious of my appearance, may be because I was quite chubby growing up. In 10th grade, I caught typhoid and suddenly lost a lot of weight. People would ask me what I did to lose all that weight and when I would say I just lost it gradually without really working for it, they'd think I'm lying. So to maintain that weight, I started doing yoga (for the first time in my life I religiously started working out) and my trainer would give me these healthy homemade treats. I started following a strict diet, vegetable juice every morning, making sure I drink 3L water everyday, etc, every 1 hour I would be eating something. I became extremely conscious and aware of what I was putting in my stomach. My body literally became my temple. I worshipped it, no exaggerating! 

For about 6 years I was super rigid with my diet, I would get irritated if I would miss one single item (out of about 100 different things I would be eating) during the day. I was always experimenting with my diet but still all super healthy stuff. And trust me it helps, my skin was glowing and my body was toned, I was in perfect shape!

But slowly I realised I need to be a little flexible and not stress so much, taking care of myself can't be my full time job. So now I go a little easy on myself and cheat from time to time. If I'm going out its a different story, I still try and order comparatively an healthier option though. But when I'm home, I just google quick healthy snack recipes and add/subtract something, give it little bit of twist and eat that instead of eating junk food. 

I have a few recipes which are my absolute favourite and I love love love to cook (don't think I mentioned that before). So I thought why not combine the two things I love the most, because I truly believe to be successful you need to be passionate about what you do. And this is my passion!

I love to share and inspire others to choose the path to be really conscious of what you eat, it really does pay off. Its not just about looking good, but when you eat healthy you feel damn good about yourself! I make fresh treats off the menu every morning so next time you feel like indulging, order with me and I would love to serve you.
